 This is by far the best pencil eyeliner I have ever used. This says a lot considering TOPSHOP don't even specialize in beauty/make-up. It is remarkable, compared to others I've tried. The product itself is highly pigmented and can be applied

 with a lot of depth, but with out all the pressure and tugging and pulling that is sometimes associated with pencil eyeliners.  

 

 

Needless to say, I love the packaging on all topshop makeup and sometimes if i'm in TOPSHOP I just stand there looking at it all drooling. I would say that it only has one flaw, if you will, and even that has it's positives. The eyeliner is very smudgy, and if you rub your eye it does smear and you lose that precise sharp line. However smudgy eyeliner can look great. So, it depends if you look at the glass as being half full or half empty.

Maybelline DEFINE-A-LASH

I find that I have really short stumpy eyelashes, which are just plain awful. Recently I have discovered Define-a-lash Volume Mascara.  Is just SPIFFING, it separates the lashes beautifully and adds loads of length. Especially for a "drug-store" mascara. I have had my fair share of "drug-store" mascaras and I find that alot of them clump together and look REALLY chavvy, tarty and unattractive but this one doesn't do this. It does exactly what is says on the tube it "defines". I love wearing it as my lashes don't feel weighed down at all.  It doesn't smudge at all. If you remember in May-June we had a few really hot days, I wore this and compared to my other ones it didn't melt or become sticky. I believe they do a waterproof version, I don't have this one but I find that during the day if it rains a little I don't need a waterproof one. As this one stays on even if it rains a little.  I DEFINITELY recommend buying this.  Don't worry if you have long eyelashes, it works just as well.  .

20 things in my room

I found 20 random things in my room and took a photo they are totally unrelated. (Oh and I have already eaten the hula hoops.)

1.Hula Hoops

2. Owl teddy that heats up and smells of lavender - From BHS about £10 I think

3. My pencil case, I put some pearls on but you can't really see - WHSmiths around £4

4. Owl bedding, If you couldn't already tell, I LOVE OWLS - BHS around £20 I think 

5.My hamster, shes called Sherlock, as I have a rather unhealthy obsession with Sherlock Holmes, the detective created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle  

6. My two pairs of sunglasses, although I'll count them as one. The pink ones are from River Island

7. Hand sanitizer, I use it went im out and about and when I put my contacts in and out. Home bargains about £1-£1.50

8. Boots disposable camera - bought encase i run out of batteries for my Nikon and I need to take a photo - £6 Boots 

9. The three pairs of shoes I wear the most - red toms, Oxfords from clarks (school shoes), and River Island flat forms

10. My chair - I believe it was my grandad's, and he gave it my my mum, who gave it to me 

11. Fat face slippers - I got them for Christmas - £36  

12. Monkey memory stick - I won it at a youth enterprise weekend.

13. My Ipod - Case was signed by Boyce Avenue, I saw them an O2 academy in Newcastle in March

16. The Luxe book collection by Anna Godbersen - My god these are amazing books i'm currently re-reading them all and loving it - RECOMMENDED

Trip to Durham

My trip to Durham started at about 7AM. A rather early start I think anyway.  The train departed at about 9AM, and when we arrived at Newcastle train station we were delayed by about an hour. It was the craziest reason, there was a body found on the lines ahhhhh SCARY.

Of course, i suggested it had to be MURDER and that we were next...Dun...Dun...Dun...sadly that idea didn't catch on and once they had finished scraping him up we were on our way. I had a twirl and a packet of quavers on the train...yummy. When we arrived in Durham, there was a little walk into the city center.

                                                                                                                                           

We looked in loads of little vintage shops my favorite one had to have been ding dong vintage, they had adorable suitcases outside and I really wanted all of them but sadly they were rather expensive and the tiny cream one at the top which i really would have liked to put perfumes in when i travel was about £60, and I could not condone spending that much on such a lovely yet unnecessary little item.  Inside it smelt just like my grandma's house, old people really, but in a nice nostalgic sort of a way. They had beautiful wedding dresses, they were knee length with a few underskirts, it was covered in handmade lace and was from around 1966-1968, the lady wasn't 100% sure.

I had a fabulous time in Durham and would recommend it to anyone who was to ask me. I went to the cathedral but sadly you weren't allowed to take photos. It was beautiful though and I was amazed at how it was built with only chisels and things (I don't know other tools that would have been used as I am not an architect).

Lush,sanctuary and bath time

So I got back from the first day at school today, and I've been up since 6AM, so I was exhausted.  I ran  bath and put in a bubble bar that my friend gave me as part of a gift box for my birthday. I believe it was the Blooming Beautiful one from lush, I really enjoyed using it, the only problem i find with most if not all lush products is they are far too big for one bath. And you have to half if not quarter them, personally I fond this a little bit of a hassle and don't want to be creating a mess cutting up bath products when I just want to relax.

However both bubble bars were lovely and i have already used up the pop in the bath bubble bar.  Not only does this bar have a cheery little flower on top but contains an uplifting, mandarin and bergamot oils as well as orange flower fragrance. It was lovely, and i really enjoyed using it, personally i found that a quarter was more than enough and as you can see my bath is rather deep, but I suppose its all just personal preference.  

The bubble bar featured in the photos is called think pink. Personally I love the name of this one and the colors are beautiful.  I have not used this before, so I can't tell you if I am in favor of it or not. I do however, love the smell of vanilla and as it is featured in the think pink bubble bar i'm sure it will be just lovely.
